Dr. Kelley's educational background is equally impressive. She earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science from North Carolina Central University. Additionally, she holds both a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Management and a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Organizational Leadership from Northcentral University. Currently, she serves as the Chairman of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Black Heritage Committee Board of Directors, Chief Judge of Precinct 129, a member of the American Cancer Society's Making Strides for Breast Cancer Board, the Pearl: Purposeful Walk Steering Committee, and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc, Rho Psi Omega Chapter. Most recently, she was honored with the Martin Luther King, Jr. Peace Award from Johnson C. Smith University, Charlotte, NC, where she served as the keynote speaker on the topic of "Promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion." As a lifelong member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church, Dr. Kelley actively participates in the Andrew Fellowship Ministry, showcasing her dedication to her faith and community.

Hailing from Charlotte, NC, she is the daughter of James (deceased) and Maxine Eaves, the sister of Bryant Eaves, Sr., auntie to her niece and nephews, great Auntie to her great niece and nephews, and the proud mother of Winston.
